Music ministry is a vital part of the life of East Maiden Baptist Church. We feel that music moves people into a more dynamic time of worship. Our music ministry involves every one from pre-schoolers to adults. Below you will find a breakdown of our music ministry. Preschool Choir is designed for children aged 3-5 and involves simple songs with a basic introduction to music. Currently, this choir meets on Wednesday nights (September-May) at 6:00.
Younger Children’s Choir is made up of children in grades 1-3. The music is slightly more challenging as these children are often given the opportunity to sing during Sunday morning worship. Currently, this choir meets on Wednesday nights (September-May) at 6:00.
Older Children’s Choir consists of children in grades 4-6. These children are incorporated on a regular basis into Sunday morning worship. Currently, this choir meets on Wednesday nights (September-May) at 6:00.
Youth Choir is made up of teenagers from Thru-The-Roof Student Ministry. The music consists of contemporary worship music. This choir meets for rehearsal on Sunday afternoons at 6:30.
Youth Hand Bells is an ensemble made up of students in grades 7-12. These ringers meet on Sunday afternoons at 4:45. Please contact our Music Minister for more information.
Sanctuary Choir runs an average of 30+ voices. This choir practices diligently on Wednesday nights at 7:40 to prepare for Sunday worship. Our Sanctuary Choir presents two cantatas during the year; Easter & Christmas.
Adult Hand Bells is our newest musical group. They meet on Sunday afternoons at 5:00. There are currently no spots open in this ensemble. However, if you would like to be kept up to date as to when a spot becomes available, please contact our Music Minister.
